Stars remain the same while i was studying astronomy

Stars remain the same while i was studying astronomy

When i was thinking to leave the university, my professor said to me “What you do now is best for you”. Unfortunately, we lost that valuable person during speed train accident in Ankara. I started to make music under that motivation in my hometown.  After founding Manga, we always had our studio which made us more independant. That was kind of headquarter for us. Since we came together with other members, we came till today and i think there will be never retirement from music.

Follow your passion

My name is Elad Azizli. I was born in 1985, Baku. I am an otolaryngologist. I was a successful student because of that when I was a sophomore in medical faculty at Azerbaijan, I gained right to continue my schooling in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty according to an agreement with our school and Istanbul University.

When I was a little boy, I was operating winsomely with an anatomy atlas, scalpel and forceps which were gifts from a friend of my father. Since then it has never changed, I am still getting busy with scalpel and forceps.

It was very clear that I would be a doctor especially a surgeon. At the university I thought a lot, I was drawn into nose, face and voice aesthetics. Once I specialized at the physiology of these organs, I started to perform plastic surgeries. In time I saw clearly that I made the right decision by choosing that speciality.

Years ago I was dreaming that I am doing exactly what I am doing right now; dealing with a specific disease, performing operations, writing scientific articles about all of this and going all over the world and making presentations in congresses.

Today, I am happy to accomplish all of these. The real reason behind my success is my curiosity in medicine, the desire for research that comes with curiosity; in short, my love to the profession.

A person should be conscientious and honest in every action and decision that he/she makes. Here is my advice to you; imagine anything you want, commit with passion, work hard and most importantly, never compromise your integrity and conscience.

A special kid

My name is Tom Odwyer I was born in 1953 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

I never believed in religion, but I always believed in the existence of God.

When I was a kid I questioned my mother about human existence. My mom always assured me that I was a very special kid, my experiences in life proved so.

When I was around 9 years old I was in a hospital room with anxious doctors around me. When I saw a big white light on top of the room. As I was on my way up, I looked back down to the hospital room and saw my mother looking at me with worried eyes. That was my first near death experience. I distinctly remember the doctor saying “welcome back, son.”

Young Tom was a real hippy, I was a heavy drug user and had a really adventurous spirit.
One winter day my friend and I were hiking. We got caught in a snowstorm and lost our way. Having wondered around to find our way back we were both very tired. My friend wanted to rest a little bit on the snow, but I knew that would be the end. I couldn’t do anything for my friend, but I knew I had to keep on my journey to save my life. As I was about to give up I saw a bright light coming between the clouds. Going towards the light I found the small hut that saved my life.

I lived all my life with my heart

Early 70’s, I have been able to merge rising underground culture with my music and visual which allowed me to make first “multimedia” shows. I studied from Sufi’s to African cultures and dances and that allowed me to transmit to stage my full body with my music. I have been accepted as inspiration to many rock bands notably like Bruce Dickinson or KISS.

I always believed one thing, there is always a purity in human heart and brain takes you to dark as long as it get’s you away from your heart. I always lived with my heart and did always what I wanted.

The Paris photo

I was born in New York in 1950. I came to North Carolina and studied American Literature as a graduate student. Deep down, I always wanted to write a book…

I didn’t know much about my father’s past, he wasn’t very talkative. All I knew was that he served the USA as a soldier during WWII.

When my father died in 1998, I found a picture of him with an unknown woman and a boy in Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the background. There was only the name George Duval written on the back of this picture. I didn’t know if the woman in the picture was his lover or not. This made me very curious about his life.

A few years later after a lot of work, I managed to find George who was about 6 years old at the time that the photo was taken. He remembered my father from his childhood very well but they never heard a word about him after the war. He told me that my father used to visit him and his mom a lot during his time in France. To this day, I am not 100% sure whether my father was a lover of George’s mother.

After my journey to France, I finally found what I wanted to write my book about. I published my first book, The Paris Photo, which is a fictionalized version of my father’s story. I’m glad I dug deeper into my father’s past!

Disabled but not really

My name is Ko Htwe. I am a 40-year-old single man. I am from Wama, Myanmar. I come from a big family, I have 7 siblings. Only the youngest and I are not married. I am living with my mother. I was born without arms, I am the only one from my family who has got a disability.

I make my living by drawing and painting. At first glance, people do not expect someone with a disability to be good at what he does. However, when they learn how much effort we make to improve our craftsmanship, they begin to respect and understand that we are exceptional at what we do.

I have had many great teachers throughout the years, my first teacher was my beloved father. He taught me how to draw, play with colors and integrate my imagination into everything I do. In the beginning, painting used to be just a hobby for me. After 25 years of drawing and painting, now I am proud to say that I am a painter.

During the tourism season, my sales go up; therefore, I make more money. I have no special dreams or plans for my future, I am happy as long as I make enough money for my mother and myself. Actually I am not planning to get married so that I can look after my mother just like she did when I was little.
