My name is Elad Azizli. I was born in 1985, Baku. I am an otolaryngologist. I was a successful student because of that when I was a sophomore in medical faculty at Azerbaijan, I gained right to continue my schooling in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty according to an agreement with our school and Istanbul University.

When I was a little boy, I was operating winsomely with an anatomy atlas, scalpel and forceps which were gifts from a friend of my father. Since then it has never changed, I am still getting busy with scalpel and forceps.

It was very clear that I would be a doctor especially a surgeon. At the university I thought a lot, I was drawn into nose, face and voice aesthetics. Once I specialized at the physiology of these organs, I started to perform plastic surgeries. In time I saw clearly that I made the right decision by choosing that speciality.

Years ago I was dreaming that I am doing exactly what I am doing right now; dealing with a specific disease, performing operations, writing scientific articles about all of this and going all over the world and making presentations in congresses.

Today, I am happy to accomplish all of these. The real reason behind my success is my curiosity in medicine, the desire for research that comes with curiosity; in short, my love to the profession.

A person should be conscientious and honest in every action and decision that he/she makes. Here is my advice to you; imagine anything you want, commit with passion, work hard and most importantly, never compromise your integrity and conscience.

I want to expand my business

My name is Amarjeet Singh. I’m 42 years old. I live in Amritsar. I live here because my parents and all my memories are here. I’m the chief and owner of the Charming Chicken Restaurant. I love my job very much. I have been working here for 27 years, and we are the second best restaurant in Amritsar.

I had a shop before opening this restaurant, but I closed it in 1984 because of my mother's demise and my father's health problems. I spent all my money on their healthcare. I was very sad because of these problems. After that, I worked in different jobs for a while. In 1991, I opened my current restaurant. My favorite food that we serve is "ras malai".

I want to expand my business, not only in India, but also in other countries. I have some certificates and awards from a chefs’ competition in 1997. I regret that I couldn’t open more restaurants in Amritsar. I want to have more franchising.

I like traveling to other cities, touristic places and to meet with new people. I invite the people who I have met to my restaurant. I hope to develop my business this way.

I have a daughter, and I love her very much. I have been very happy since she was born. I want to see her graduate from university schooling.

I want to increase customer satisfaction in my restaurant. I want to diversify my menu so that everybody can find something that they want to eat. I have a YouTube channel called “Chicken Charming Restaurant”. I made videos for this channel. I have a Facebook page too. All companies that take food from my restaurant share photos in this page.

Life at the river

Life at the river

My name is Daw Khaıng Mar Cho. I was born in, and I am still living in, a riverside village named Gyıng Gyı. I had only primary schooling. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I’m married, and I have four children. My husband is a boat driver.

Before we entered the tourism sector, I and my husband were farmers, but we went bankrupt. We had a lot debt. It was really hard; we even suffered from hunger in those days. Then we bought a small boat, a ferry to go back forth from Mandalay to our village. After the tourism boom in Myanmar, in 2012, lots of tourists started to come here. I have decided to organize boat tours at the river for tourists with our boat. I love this job because it makes me very happy to meet with new and different people.

I don’t have any idea for my future, because I have all the things that I need. I’m happy, my family is together, and they are happy also. My only regret in life is that I feel I could have planned it better. From now on, all that I want is to live my days happily till the end of my life.

Hopes in the basket

Hopes in the basket

My name is Ma Cho. I’m 46 years old. I was born in, and still am living in, a village that we call Min Nan Thu. I’m a farmer, and I love my job very much. I’m proud of being a farmer. I put what I grow on the farm in a basket and sell my harvest at a bazaar.

I lost my family because of a disaster that affected my village, and my husband had a paralysis for three years because of it. I tried to look after him as best as I could. But after he came around, he went away with another woman and left me alone. After that, my life became more difficult. I regret that I’m not an educated woman. I want to see my children become educated persons.

I want to live as a farmer till the end of my days. I like farming in my fee farm, but I feel sad when I can’t spare enough food for my children. In the future, I hope I can make a little bit more money. I want to give special and good things to my children.
